1993 - 2000 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br /> <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Project #i - McKinley Street Projects <br /> <br />The McK.iniey Street projects, upon completion, will function as the frontage mad for the north <br />side of Highway #10. Although it is north of the Burlington Northern railway, this collector will <br />disperse primarily commercial and industrial traffic from loca] sources along Highway #10. tt is <br />contemplated that eventually this roadway will run from Armsn-ong Boulevard N.W. southeast to <br />the border with Anoka ,,,,5th the intent of connecting to Thurston Avenue as well as TrunS.: Highway <br />g47 within Anoka. Within this Capital Improvement Program, it is projected that improvement <br />along this corridor will occur in 1994, 1996, and 1998. It is expected that the east/west port:ions of <br />the project will be funded by Tax Increment and MSA proceeds and that an.',, north/south <br />connecting links will be assessment projects with 50% of project costs being assessed and the <br />other 50% being funded by Tax Increment proceeds. Within the 1998 time frame, it is projected <br />that the length between Tungsten Street N.W. and Basalt Street N.W. will ~ completed as an <br />east/west collector street and that two no,wJa./south Iinks with Coumy Road #t 16, one at Tungsten <br />Street N.W. and one at Azurite Street N.W., w/Il be completed as well.
