Councilmember its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #94-05- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICAT]~ONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #94-17 (RAMSEY-ANOKA WATER SYSTEM INTERCONNECT) WHERE'~S, pursuant to a motion adopted by the Ramsey City Council on April 12, 1994, the City Enlgineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the Ramsey-Anoka water system inte~rconnect and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approgal. NOW THERE~4ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, .t~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such [contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a pa~. hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the C~ty Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Cohstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertiserrlent shall be published for 10 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids v~ill be received by the City Administrator until 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 1994, at w~ich time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be consideredI by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on June 28, 1994 in the Council Chambers. i Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council oh the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and fried with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) ~ercent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the iadoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember an~upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following at'stained: and the following Were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of Ma3~, 1994.
