Councilmember its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #94-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #94-06 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL SORTEBERG!S 4TH AND 5TH ADDITIONS) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, the City E~gineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of $orteberg's 4th and 5th Additions and has presented such contract documents and specifications to[the Council for approval. NOW TItERF__J, FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEYi ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That su~}t contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a dart hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That theiCity Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the ~onstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bid~ will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at which ti~e they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center By the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulate4t, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 1994 in the Council Chambers Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity'to address the Council on the issue of responsilbility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City AdminiStrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check pa,5,able to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for ~e adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said ~'esolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of ~Iune, 1994.
