Coun¢ilm~ml~r, its adoption: introduced thc following resolution and movexl for RESOLUTION #94-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEME~/T PROJECT ~94-07 (ALPACA ESTATES 3RD ADDITION) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, the City Er~gineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of ~IMpaca Estates 3rd Addition and has presented such contract documents and specifications to l[he Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, IANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a p ~-t hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the ~ity Administrator sha/1 prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Cbnstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The adverfiselnent shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bidsfwill be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at which tinie they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center b~ the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulated~ and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 1994 inflhe Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consider~on of the bid will be given an opportunity.to address the Council on the issue of responsilffiity. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Adminisffator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check pa~able to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for tl3e adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember aiad upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the followin~ voted against the same: and the followin~ abstained: and the followin~ were absent: whereupon said ~solution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of Yune, 1994.
