ORDINANCE #94- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY CODE, ADDING SECTION <br />5.13.07 TO BE KNOWN AS THE RECYCLING RATES AND CHARGES <br />SECTION OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 5.13.07 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 5.13.07 of the City Code, entitled "Recycling Rates and Charges" is added to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />5.I3 RECYCLING <br /> <br />5.13.07 RATES AND CHARGES <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Rates and Charges <br /> <br />Rates and charges for recycling collection shall be set by Council resolution. However, the <br />rates fixed shall not be in excess of an amount reasonably calculated to defray the cost of <br />the proper collection and disposal of 'all recyclable materials. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Liability of Property Owner <br /> <br />The customer receiving the service shall be liable to the City for all bills accruing for <br />recycling collection charges upon the owner's premises whether the same be personally <br />used by the owner, the owner's tenant or other occupant of the premises. <br /> <br />Sub& 3. Billing Statements <br /> <br />Billing :statements for recycling collection charges for the preceding period shall be mailed <br />to each' customer and shall be deemed sufficient notice to the customer of charges made. <br />Said statements shall be due and payable by the date indicated on the specific billing <br />statement. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Delinquent Account <br /> <br />All billing statements not paid on or before the due date shall be considered delinquent <br />accounts. It shall be the duty of the City to promptly collect delinquent accounts, and the <br />customer shall be duly notified or, in the case the customer cannot be found, then the <br />person of suitable age and discretion shall be so notified, <br /> <br /> <br />
