NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br /> <br /> Notice is hereby given that the Ramsey City Council will hold a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, August 9, 1994, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, MN 55303. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the hearing is to consider an ordinance amending the Ramsey-City <br />Charter Chapter 4, Section 4.2.1. The proposed ordinance reads as follows: <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE #94-XX <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 4 OF THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY WHICH CHAPTER 4 IS ENTITLED "NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS." <br /> <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY: <br /> <br />This Ordinance is enacted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §410.12, Subd. 7. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. REPEAL AND AMENDMENTS. <br /> <br />Section 4.2.1 of Chapter 4 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Ramsey is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall become effective ninety (90) days after its passage and publication, <br />subject to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes §410.12, Subd. 7. <br /> <br />For Public tnform,'ttion: The section being repealed (4.2.1) reads as follows: <br /> <br />Any applicant currently holding an elected office in the city, and seeking <br />election to an office different from the office he/she currently holds and <br />subject to the tin'fitations prescribed in section 2.4, shall be required to <br />submit his/her resignation from his/her current office upon filing his/her <br />affidavit. The affidavit, resignation and fees shall be subn'fitted to the clerk- <br />administrator no earlier than fifty-six days nor later than forty-two days <br />before any municipal election. The applicant's resignation from office shall <br />become effective ',.Lfter certification of the election results. <br /> <br /> All interested per. sons are invited to attend the hearing and comment on the <br />proposed ordinance. The City of Ramsey cbmplies with the Americans with Disabilities <br />Act and upon advance request, information will be provided in an alternative form and <br /> <br /> <br />
