Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-09- RESOLUTION PURCHASE OF DEPARTMENT AUTHORIZING TWENTY.FIVE A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE REPLACEMENT ttELMETS FOR TttE FIRE WHEREAS, at the Fire Board meeting of Wednesday, August 17, 1994, there was a request to authorize the replacement of twenty-five helmets for the fire department; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that all fire fighters be provided with adequate protection when responding to incidents involving fire; and WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of September 12, 1994, staff presented a request for the purchase of twenty-five replacement helmets for the fire department; and WHEREAS, the funding in an amount not-to-exceed $2,500 is available through budget reallocations in the Adopted 1994 Gener~ Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends that the Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed within this resolution. NOW. THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of twenty-five replacement helmets for the fire department at a price not-to-exceed $2,500. 2) That the Ramsev City Council hereby authorizes the budget reallocation of funds in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget as detailed in this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duty seconded-by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following were absent: and the following abstained: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day of September, I994.
