1994 INTERNSHIP PROJECTS AND THEIR PROGRESS <br /> <br /> I) SUBDIVISION PLAT FILES. The Subdivision Plat File "purging" process has been <br />complete, All files have been organized chronologically and duplicates recycled, <br /> <br /> 2) SIGN ORDINANCE COMPLIANCE ANALYSIS. Sylvia and I have been working <br />on the Highway 10 corridor property sign review and analysis. I completed the portable sign <br />violation notices and follow-up. Currently, I am in the process of visiting each property site on <br />Hwy. 10 to analysis their sign ordinance compliance, We are about 80% complete with this task. <br /> <br /> 3) PAVEMENT REVIEW AND RATING. I have completed maps of all roads scheduled <br />for maintenance in 1995, 1996, and 1997. I have visited each pavement section for analysis of <br />deterioration, maintenance needs, and PASER rating. I have put this information on a database <br />and calculated the projected costs for future years. The street maintenance program has been <br />delineated for t995, 1996, 1997, and 1998. Additionally, I completely regular inspections of <br />seal coating and crack sealing project work done during the summer. This included monitoring the <br />crews at various stages and locations as welt as inspecting their work for quality and completeness. <br /> <br /> 4) FOX RIDGE PARK PLANS. ] have completed, the survey of Fox Ridge <br />Neighborhood and continue to revise plan proposals for this park. Plans were presented to the <br />Park and Recreation Commission on August 11, 1994. They were presented again on September <br />8. The Commission has directed me to administer another survey to the neighborhood because of <br />the inconclusive nature of responses. This will again be brought before the Commission on <br />October 14. <br /> <br /> 5) ITASCA PARK PLANS. I have completed the inquiry mailing to residents of the <br />Itasca Lake Park area and am currently fielding telephone and written comments and concerns. <br />Preliminary plans were presented at the August 1 I meeting of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission meeting. <br /> <br /> 6) TREE PROTECTION PLAN I have drafted a tree'pr~tection plan for implementation <br />anytime a major land disturbance occurs. Additionally, I am currently working on a <br />Comprehensive Urban Forestry Phm for the City. <br /> <br /> 7) MISCELLANEOUS. In addition to the major projects listed above, I have completed <br />several reports for Engineering and Zoning such as Single vs. Multi- Family Housing proportions; <br />use of handicapped children signs; permits for temporary greenhouses; special use permits for <br />home-occupation and cottage industries; and organization/funding of Water Management <br />Organizations in the Metro Area. I completed a speed survey of traffic on Dysprosium Street. I <br />have also completed several map displays for various committee and council meetings; helped in <br />various word processing; photocopying;'blueprinting, and mailing tasks; and attended staff <br />development meetings. I also spent several days representing the City of Ramsey at our Game Fair <br />booth. <br /> <br /> <br />
