KOPPY, P.E. <br />President <br /> <br />Mr. Koppy is the President of RLK Associates and overall manager of the firm. <br /> <br />Mr. Koppy has more than 20 years of diversified engineering and 'project management experience in the <br />design and d~,onstruction of streetscape projects, transportation engineering and planning projects, traffic <br />operations, ~tility projects and street maintenance activities. <br /> <br />Mr. Koppy'S previous experience includes: <br /> <br />City En~gineer and Director of Public Works, St. Louis Park, MN, xvhere he participated in many <br />innovative projects such as the Reillv Tar & Chemical Company drinking water contamination <br />solution, neighborhood recycling program for waste products and the Highway 7 redevelopment <br />corridor' plan. During his more than ten year tenure, approximately 75 miles of streets xvere <br />constructed throughout the City including utilities, street lighting, traffic signals, sidewalks, alleys <br />and street furniture. He was responsible for a mvriad of projects funded by sources such as <br />Intersta;te Substitution, Federal Aid, State Aid, and local property assessments. <br /> ,. <br />PresideOt and principal engineer for a southwestern suburban Minneapolis consulting engineering <br />firm that included landscape architects, planners, engineers, environmentalists, and land surveyors. <br />This fi _r~rn performed in the areas of municipal and private operations and employed appro,'dmately <br />50-60 ~ersonnel. <br /> <br />Traffic ;Engineer for the Hennepin County. Department of Transportation, xvhere he was in charge <br />of urbah roadway safety improvements for the County's roadway system. <br /> <br />Mr. Koppy ~ a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota. He has a Bachelor of <br />Science in Civil Engineenng from the University. of Minnesota, 1970, with Graduate Studies in Public <br />AdministratiOn and Engineering, Mankato State College and University of Minnesota, post-1970. He is <br />a member oqthe~, Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers. the American Society of Civil Engineers, <br />the America$. Public Works Association and the National Institute of Transportation Engineers. <br /> <br />Mr. Koppy i~ also a pan-time course instructor in the Public Works curriculum at the North Hennepin <br />Community. College in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, from 1980 to present. He teaches administration of <br />Public Wor~ and relationships with the public and civic groups for the University of Wisconsin - <br />Madison and the University of Minnesota. <br /> <br /> <br />
