Councilmcmbcr <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION g94-09- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION (~ALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ~94-03 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL BARTHEL'S RUM <br />RIVER ACRES 2ND ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 27, 1994, thc City <br />Administrator was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of thc cost of improvements to Barthel's Rum <br />River Acres 2nd Ad~ition; and <br /> WHEREA.$,, the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment <br />has been completed~and filed in his office for public inspection. <br />NOW THEREFO~RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TttE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That a public hearing shall be held on October 11, 1994 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal <br /> Center, to ~ass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning <br /> property affected by such improvcmcnl will be given an opportunity m be heard with reference to <br /> such assessrgent. <br /> <br />2) That the Ci}y Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br /> proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the <br /> hearing, an~ he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also cause <br /> mailed notkle to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than <br /> two weeks l~rior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) That the ow,ncr of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of thc assessment <br /> by the Coun.'ty Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with interest accrued to <br /> the date of ~ayment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is <br /> paid within'~30 days from the adoption of the assessment.
