Councilmcmber introduced thc following resolution and moved for its adoption: · RESOLUTION #94-09-.. RESOLUTION C~LLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT! PROJECT ttt94-06 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL AND 5TH ADDITIONS) WHEREASi by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 27, 1994, the City Administrator was directed to prepare a proposcd assessment of the cosl of improvements m Sormbcrg's 4th and 5th Addition~; and WHEREAS,; thc City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment has been completed a~d filed in his office for public inspection. NOW THEREFOI~E, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKh COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I That a publicihearing shall be held on October 11, 1994 at 7:00 p.m. at thc Ramsey Municipal Center, tO pa$s upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affec~ted by such improvemenl will be given an opportunily lo be heard wilh reference to such assessment. 2) That the Cityi Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of thc public hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to thc hearing, and ~e shall state in the notice the total cost of thc improvement. He shall also cause mailed notice}o be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior ~o tile hearings. 3) That the owner of any property so assessed naa>,, at any time prior to certification of thc assessment by thc County}Auditor, pay thc whole of thc assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment to thc City, except that no interest shall be charged if thc entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The owner may at any time, thereafter, pay to the Citi/ thc entire amount of thc assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 bf thc year in which such payment is made..Such payment must be made before November 15 br interest will be charged through December 3'1 of the succeeding year.
