2) Reviewiand Adopt the 1995 Budget Calendar: Finance Officer Hart stated that the first <br />Council muting for the month of September and the first Council meeting for the month of <br />November have to be rescheduled due to Primary and General elections. <br /> <br />Motion by~ Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />reschedule!the Tuesday, September 13, 1994 Council meeting to Monday, September 12, <br />1994 and {he Tuesday, November g, 1994 Council meeting to Monday, November 7, <br />1994. <br /> <br />Motion carfi'ed. Voting Yes: C0uncilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman and Peterson. Voting <br />No: None.i Absent: Mayor Gilbertson and Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart stated that the Finance Committee recommended adopting the 1995 Budget <br />Calendar a~4 presented to them. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />the 1995 B.~dget Calendar as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman and Peterson. Voting <br />No: None.' Absent: Mayor Gilbenson and Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />3) 1994 Challenge Grant Acceptance: Ms. Hart explained that the City applied for and <br />received a~ grant of $4,000 to continue it's Oak Wilt Program. The Committee <br />recommended that Council approve the Mayor and City Adminisu-ator accepting such grant. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to direct <br />the Mayor ~nd City Administrator to sign all required paperwork for the acceptance of the <br />1994 DNR Challenge Grant and to allocate the resources necessary for the local match. <br /> <br />4) ReviewiProposed Revisions to the Lawful Gambling Ordinance: Ms. Hart explained <br />the proposed changes made to the City's Lawful Gambling Ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to place <br />this propos~ ordinance on the May 10, 1994 Council agenda for introduction. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hardin and Peterson. Voting <br />No: None. Absent: Mayor Gilbertson and Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />5) Request ~for Donation to Business Landfill Coalition: Ms. Hart explained that the Anoka <br />Area. Cham~er of Commerce.. requested a $500 donation from the City of Ramsey for the <br />Business L~ndfill Coalmon. This money was not budgeted for and the Finance Committee <br />recommended denial of such request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to deny the <br />request by Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce to donate $500.00 to the Business Landfill <br />Coalition. , <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Peterson and Hardin. Voting No: <br />Councilmember Zimmerman.
