Parks can attract future
residents, enhance property values, i.e. growth and development in our area.

In making education my career and in working with children for the past 3 years, I am aware
of the importance of a well structured and maintained park and recreation system.

When parks and recreation are readily available, they can be an essential part of a child's
growth and development. They are an excellent place for 'Social and physical development.

A welt organized recreational department gives children an outlet for their energies and
interests. It offers a varie'~y of activities and gives the children something to occupy their time.
With the ever increasing growth of gangs and destruction I feel that continual development
and progress with parks and recreation will provide a support system. It also promotes
family unity.

When I grew up in Ramsey, the only organized recreation was located at Ramsey Elementary
and it was not easily accessible. Much progress has been made over the past 15 years.
However, we must continue to grow and develop to meet the needs of the communi~ today
and tomarrow as welt. I would tike to be a part of these changes.

Please contact me soon to set up an interview.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Michael O. Skinner

8nc.
