Councilmemb~r <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #94-06- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE TO CUL-DE-SAC LENG~['--~ IN THE PLAT OF <br /> CHESTNUT RIDGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Good Value Homes, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has <br />properly applied for a variance from Section 9.50.33 of the Ramsey City Code to consumct a cul- <br />de-sac street that will exceed 600 feet on the property legally described as follows upon recording: <br /> <br />CI-[ESTNUT RIDGE, Anoka County, State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA, as follov/s: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission pursuant to Section 9.50.08 <br />of the Ramsey City Code on June 6, 1994 and that the minutes of said meeting are hereby <br />incorporated as a pan of these finchngs by reference. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has properly applied for subdivision approval and is proposing to <br />develop the Subject Property in accordance with its R- 1 Urban Residential zoning. <br /> <br />That the sketch plans and preliminary plats for the Subject Property reviewed by the <br />Planning Commission between July 6, 1993 and and December 7, 1993 proposed to <br />design Krs~ton Street N.W. as a cul-de-sac or cut-de-sac/private drive that exceeded the <br />600 foot maximum len~h established in Section 9.50.33 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />That on December 15, 1993, the Applicant submitted a preliminary plat that proposed to <br />design Krypton Street N.W. as a through street based on the recommendations of City <br />Staff and the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />That on Janua.ry 4, 1994, the Planning Commission recommended that City Council ~ant <br />preliminary plat approval to Chestnut Ridge contingent upon the Applicant obtaining the <br />necessary permit from DNR to construct a crossing across Wetland #2-114P to facilitate <br />development of Krypton Street N.W. as a through street. <br /> <br />That on January 21, 199z~, the Applicant submitted Perm/t Application ~94-6115 to DNR <br />proposing to cross Wetland #2-114P and Count), Ditch No. z~3 by the use of culverts and <br />filling 1,600 square feet of the wetland. <br /> <br />That on Janua.D7 25, 1994, the City Council gamed final plat approval to Chestnut Ridge <br />contingent upon the Developer obtaining a DNR..permit to cross Wetland #2-114-P to <br />facilitate development of K.D,pton Street N.W. as a through street. <br /> <br />That on May 31, 1994, the DNR issued a denial of DNR Permit Request ~94-6115. <br /> <br />That on May 2,4, 1994, the Applicant approached the Ramsey City Council for a revision to <br />the final plat of Chestnut Ridge in order to consrcoct Krypton Street N.W. as a cul-de-sac <br />that would exceed the 600 foot maximum length by approximately 800 feet. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
