Schroeder summarized this topic by stating that the City will cone/hUe maintaining its streets in <br />the currant method but will encourage upgrading of the Count)' and State roads. <br /> <br />D) Public Safety <br /> <br />Councilmcmber Petcrson commented that the Fire Department will continue to be ever-increasing <br />in their demands for funds and equipment and added that it's difficult to compromise on public <br />safety. <br /> <br />Councilmcmbcr Peterson stated Ramscy's Fire Department will need to work closely with <br />neighboring departments to which Councilmember Zimmerrnan added the Department will have to <br />have its share of equipment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson commented that the Police Department is short officers, however, their <br />work space is limited. <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos stated it's important for the residents to feel safe and secure. <br /> <br />Councitmember Peterson suggested Chief Auspos review reports of bad intersections, tack of <br />proper signing, etc. He added that the Fire Department is wanting to know where hazardous <br />materials are stored in buildings in the City as there is a concern for their safer)' in a situation where <br />a fire would break out in such a building.
