PARKS/RECREATION/ARENA COMMITTEE <br />February 9, 1994 <br />2:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Reception Room #710 <br />Anoka County Government Center <br />2100 Third Avenue <br /> Anoka, Minnesota 55303 <br /> <br />AGENDA <br /> <br />Consider request presented by Commissioner Burman to name the <br />athletic f~elds at Ham Lake County Park the "Don Hanson Recreation <br />Complex." <br /> <br />Consider requesting the County Board approve the following <br />amendments to Metropolitan Council grants: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />First Amendment to Metropolitan Council Grant #AG-92-7 (Anoka <br />Co. Contract #920104), extending the grant period to June 30, <br />1994 (see attached). <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Tenth Amendment to Metropolitan Council Grant $SG-82-114 (Anoka <br />Co. Contract #900731), extending the duration of the agreement <br />to June 30, 1994 (see attached). <br /> <br />Dan Klint, Assistant County Attorney, will discuss Anoka Co. <br />Contract ~930060 with Metro Paving regarding their payment of <br />prevailing wages for construction of the entrance road, turn lanes, <br />parking lo~ and pedestrian trail paving at Joseph E. Wargo Nature <br />Interpretive Center (contract available at meeting). <br /> <br />William McCann, Wave Pool Supervisor, will present the 1994 season <br />recommendations for the Bunker Hills Wave Pool (see attached). <br /> <br />% <br /> <br />Consider requesting the Management Committee to ~stablish a <br />permanent, 32 hour a week receptionist position at the Wargo Nature <br />Center, effective March 1, 1994. This is presently a temporary <br />position, a~nd was approved to convert to a permanent position in <br />the 1994 budget (see attached). <br /> <br /> <br />
