Rabbit Park - gackstop and bleachers should be purchased to accommodate neighborhood
softball field use l.n that area. It is Staffs intention to provide grading for that portion of the park.
Rabbit Park is in,dire need of soil amendments. These could occur this year in addition to the
grading, as part 0f the disposal of any organic soils resulting from the construction of 153rd
Avenue N.W. or Other projects.

1996

Titterud Parking Lot(s) Paving - During certain times of the year, Titterud's parking lots get
a great deal of traffic making the surface rutty and unpleasant, if not hazardous, for users.

Central Park E~pansion and/or Field Lighting - This $98,000 expenditure is intended to
facilitate the purchase, or development of the 35 acres east of Central Park, or perhaps provide for
field lighting. Itishould be noted that it is Stafl~s opinion that batlfield development, not field
lighting, represents a better monetary return. This item was moved to 1996 from 1997 to respond
to residential grov~tth and RYAA's projected enrollment.

Flintwood Teerace Park Shelter and Playground- This would represent those
improvements oc~un-ing north of 142nd Avenue N.W. and most likely east of Fluorine Street
N.W. This item was formally tied to the following items as a $5 !,000 expenditure. Separating the
Sunfish Lake L~[keshore Picnic Area may provide for more project distinction. Certainly as
we get closer to ~the year 1996, the specific dollar amounts may be amended slightly. The
lakeshore picnic ~ea could represent trails, etc., in conjunction with urban residential development
around Sunfish Lake.

Bear Parking Lot and Associated Improvements - A parking lot may ultimately be
required. Plus, a~; the area between Bear and Woodland Green Parks is developed, it is likely
those two would(be linked via an urban trail section, increasing both park's availability and
utilization.

Highway #47 Trail/Fox Park Connection to 167th Avenue N.W. - As previously
stated, this improvement is intended to provide safe travel parallel to State Highway #47 and
provide connectioO to the commercial area for pedestrians and bicyclists. There 'also may be outlot
acquisition costs ~r boardwalk to be purchased in providing this connection. The $8,000 may
represent half of the project cost. ISTEA dollars could be targeted if the 1994 trail project works
well.

River's Bend Park Shelter - This would be for a park shelter in proximity to the play
equipment. This ilhelter should be designed with expansion capabilities so that rest rooms could
ultimately be provided in conjunction with it.

1957

County Road ~.3 Trail Connecting the Lake Itaska Trail to 153rd Avenue N.W.
and Central Park - This item, as stated above, was rotated from 1996 due to the Lake Itaska's
Trail construction~project spilling into 1995 and the perceived urgency of providing additional
ballfields of Centr~tl Parks stature. The trail will parallel County Road #83, linking neighborhoods
and providing a 10op in the Lake Itaska Trail, in addition to connecting Central Park to the Lake
Itaska and Ermine~Park districts.

River's Bend SOftball Fields Safety Fences - This area is self explanatory. These fences,
as is the case with~fields #5 and #6 at Central Park, are not as critical as the four-plex/clover leaf
style at Central P~k because the intensity of park use paralleling the baselines are not as great. It is
believed that the Parks Improvement Trust Fund will have $1,000 for this expenditure in this year.
