and south of Highway #10. The National Park Service is acting as a coordinating entity for areas within the Mississippi River Corridor. One charge of the park service is to see trails along the entirety of the Mississippi River Corridor. It is expected that within the year, a grant and aid program will be developed and advertised to effect this need. 1995 153rd Avenue Trail Paving - This aforementioned trail paving could happen as soon as late 1995, and is dependent upon the road construction project. Lake Itaska Park Development - Staff is in the process of soliciting comment for the park's development via feedback from neighborhood mailings. Upon completion of this process, staff will formulate a park plan and budget for Commission and Council consideration. Careful consideration of adjoining land uses will be needed to ensure this park is developed to it maximum potential. 153rd Avenue Trail Paving - This segment, also proposed to be funded by Minnesota State Aid dollars, may be constructed concurrent with the new road's trail paving between County Road #83 and Variolite Street N.W. The link is intended to provide east/west access in addition to connection to the Lake ltaska Park. Fox Park Development - This park's development is at the same point as the Lake Itaska's park development. The Commission will note that there is approximately $8,000 currently un- allocated in the Demerest Brook District which has been deferred to 1996 to assist with connection of the Fox Ridge neighborhood, south to 167th Avenue N.W. This is intended to provide safety improvements along State Highway #47, link neighborhoods, and facilitate the beginning of safe travel along Highway #47. Central Park 1 ./2, Backstop hood for the original four ballfields. The intent here is to minimize the potenti',d striking of an individual viewing one game by a foul ball from the ballfield behind that person. This item, and the sideline fences, should be considered safety improvements rather than new park development. These items, and the extension of sideline fences will be funded from the Autumn Heights Park District's current un-allocated revenues. Two three-row 15' bleachers for fields #5 and #6. The bleachers will be associated with fields #5 and #6 that were constructed in 1990-91. This, and the next two items are intended to be funded from interest earnings of the Parks Trust Fund without regard to the district. The rationale being that Central Park is widely used by members throughout the community and the individual expenditures are below the interest earnings accrued on the Parks Trust Fund in any given year. 4. One five-row 15' bleacher for the baseball field. Electric service for two destinations. The baseball field and the four original fields, for utilization of the pitching machine by the Ramsey Youth Athletic Association (RYAA) and other activities requiring electricity. River's Bend- The soccer goal with nets is intended to replace the goal that was borrowed from Central Park to utilize the upper soccer field at Central Park that is now in suitable condition. A 15', five-row bleacher will be utilized in conjunction with the single softball field in River's Bend which is used throughout the year by RYAA and the public.
