RAMSEY LIONS CLUB
P.O. BOX 771
RAMSEY, MN 55303

License 01203

7 December 1993

City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W.
Ramsey, MN 55303

Attn: Ramsey City Council & Finance Officer

Reference: Ordinance 92-02, Chapter 7.61.05.c

The referenced Ramsey City Ordinance cites that the maximum number of
separate gambling locations that any one licensed organization shall be
permitted to operate within the City of Ramsey is three (3).

The Ramsey Lions Club would like to apply for an exception to this
subparagraph so that the Ramsey Lions Club would be permitted to
operate up to a maximum of seven (7) separate locations. The Ramsey
Lions Club currently has three (3) licensed lawful, gambling sites in the City
of Ramsey has completed premises permit applications for an additional
two new locations. These premise permit applications will be submitted
for Council approval upon approval of the ordinance exception request,
The Ramsey Lions Club also has another two additional sites under review
for possible lawful gambling applications.

We feel that this is a w/n-win situation for the Ramsey Lions Club and also
for the City of Ramsey. Additional profits from additional sites within the
City of Ramsey would enable the Ramsey Lions to increase lawful purpose
donations and would also increase the amount of tax that is paid monthly
to the City of Ramsey.

Thank you for your consideration in this manner.

Jerry R. Hamlet
Gambling Manager
Ramsey Lions Club
