CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR TOWING SERVICES <br /> <br />This contract, made and entered into this day of _ ,19. , by and <br />between the City of Ramsey hereinafter referred to as "Municipality", and Duane's Towing <br />hereinafter referred to as "Contractor" sets forth the following terms: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Municipality is in need of towing services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor is qualified and willing to provide such towing services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the MuniciPality wishes to enter into a contract with the Contractor to provide <br />those services. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, it is agreed and <br />understood as follows: <br /> <br />I. TERM <br /> <br />The term of this contract shall be from January 4, 1995 through January 3, 1996, unless <br />terminated earlier as provided herein. <br /> <br />II. BASIC SERVICES <br /> <br />The Contractor will tow, remove and store vehicles within twenty (20) minutes of being <br />called by the City of Ramsey Police Department or by Central Communications. <br /> <br />The Contractor must provide for the use of the Municipality, a minimum of ten (10) storage <br />stalls within an area secured by a solid wall or fence of such height as to prevent easy <br />access to the grounds. This area must be on the business premises or immediately adjacent <br />thereto and in no event shall be more than ten (10) miles from the approximate center point <br />of the Municipality. <br /> <br />The Contractor must maintain a level of liability insurance as follows: <br /> <br />a) Commercial General Liability <br /> <br />The Contractor shall take out and maintain at his own expense during the period <br />from commencement until final completion of the work under the contract, such <br />public liability and property damage insurance as shall protect the Contractor and <br />any subcontractor performing work covered by the contract, and shall name the <br />Municipality as an additional insured, holding harmless and indemnifying the <br />Municipality from claims or damages for personal injury, including accidental death <br />and claims for property damage which may arise from operations under this <br />contract, whether such operation be by such contractor, a subcontractor, or by <br />anyone directly or indirectly employed by either of them, and including claims <br />arising by reason of injury or damage sustained after the Contractor has completed <br />the work or vacated the site thereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
