We believe the enclosed information will provide the Economic Development Commission and <br />City staffwith a common place from which to begin the October 20th meeting, The consulting <br />team is requesting an opportunity to make a presentation at the beginning of the meeting. The <br />purpose of this presentation will be to expand on the enclosed material and to also accomplish the <br />following (much of which was reviewed with the Planning Commission during the early phases of <br />the land use and transportation planning processes): <br /> <br />1. The fundamentals of land use and transportation planning; <br /> <br />2. The scope and purpose for the current planning efforts; <br /> <br />Our understanding of the issues and concerns of adjacent local <br />governments; <br /> <br />Review the land use and transportation alternatives considered by the <br />Planning Commission (including our analysis of the benefits and <br />opportunities of each alternative); <br /> <br />Summary of outstanding issues and our understanding of the next steps to <br />be taken by the City of Ramsey to complete the process. <br /> <br />Of course, we will be available for questions from the Economic Development Commission, City <br />staff, and residents and interested parties attending the meeting. <br /> <br />We look forward to our meeting on October 20th. <br /> <br /> <br />
