Ramsey Land Use/Transportation Corridor <br /> 4/18/94 page 6 <br /> <br />City of Ramsey Proposed Criteria <br />for Ivfississippi River Bridge <br /> <br />Any Mississippi River bridge crossing should attempt to minimize the <br />environmental impacts on the Mississippi River specifically and its surrounding <br />environs and "built environment" in general. <br /> <br />Any Mississippi River bridge crossing should minimize the need for Right-Of'- <br />Way (ROW) acquisition. <br /> <br />Any Mississippi River bridge crossing should minimize the potential to impact <br />the existing railroad corridor. <br /> <br />Any Mississippi River bridge crossing should minimize impact on existing <br />residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Any Mississippi River bridge crossing should terminate at an east-west <br />collector road in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Any Mississippi River bridge crossing should be built fi-om a source of <br />muttijurisdictional funds. <br /> <br />Any Mississippi River bridge crossing should attempt to incorporate a north <br />frontage road along TH-I 0. <br /> <br />Table 1 below compares the separate bridge corridor alignments listed using the revised goals <br />and criteria. This table is illustrative in nature. The City will want to develop a similar table <br />when discussing actual bridge crossing corridors. <br /> <br /> <br />
