Ramsey Land Use/transportation Corridor
4/18/94 page 5

Commercial d~signation forms a strip along the highway between Ramsey Blvd, and Sunfish
Lake Blvd. ~

North of this ii designated Industrial as far as the landfill area. Much of the landfill area is
designated Open Space. The northern part of the landfill area is designated Park.

South ofHwyi 10, the Puma/Hwy. 10 Commercial area continues approximately halfway to
the river. A s~nic easement forms a landscaped buffer between this Commercial area and the
Single Family ~esidential along the river. This buffer could allow for a fiver corridor trail to
connect the nearer neighborhoods with the riverfront park downstream and with the
Commercial ar~as. This would contribute to river corridor trails recommended for the Critical
Area. The trai! would serve as both a recreational and commuter trail.

Figure 7: Mississippi River Bridge Crossing Connect to Armstrong Blvd.

In this scenariO, the river crossing would connect to Armstrong Blvd. The Commercial,
Office./Businesi Park, and Highway Business designations are similar to the previous scenario.
The landscaped, buffer and trail separates ~the Commercial and Single Family Residential on the
south of HWY. !10 at Puma.

COMPARIN~ BRIDGE LOCATION SCENARIOS TO'THE PROPOSED GOALS
AND CRITERIA

The March 2 s!udy session group decided to develop goals and criteria to evaluate potential
bridge corridor,'~.
