Ramsey Land Use/Transportation Corridor <br /> 4/18/94 page 4 <br /> <br />Figure 4: Andover Bridge Options <br /> <br />Figure 4 illustrates four possible Rum River bridge crossings with the City of Andover. None <br />of these options have been specifically discussed with the City of Andover. The four options <br />include: <br /> <br />A, <br />B. <br />C. <br />D. <br /> <br />Powerline easement corridor <br />Golf Course corridor <br />Boy Scout Camp corridor <br />153rd corridor <br /> <br />Each corridor offers its own opportunities for land use development potential. The working <br />~oup currently favors corridor C, Boy Scout Camp. This corridor is favored because it is <br />equidistant between the two existing bridges at Co. Rd. 116 and Seventh Street in the City of <br />Andover. <br /> <br />Figure 5: Mississippi River Bridge Crossing Between tLqmsey Blvd and Armstrong <br />Bird <br /> <br />In this scenario, the existing forest preserve is designated a Single Family Residential area, a <br />designation that continues east along the north side of 149th Ave. NE to the landfill site. The <br />landfill area is designated Open Space. A Park would be developed between this Open Space <br />area and 153rd Ave. NW. On the south of the Open Space area is designated Industrial. <br />Between 149th and Industrial Ave. NW is designated Medium and High Density Residential. <br />Industrial Ave. NW (Co. Rd. 116) is the east/west collector, running between T. H. 47 and <br />Hwy. 10just west of Am~strong Blvd. <br /> <br />Between Industrial Ave. NW and Hwy. 10 is designated Community Commercial, <br />Office/Business Park, or High Density Residential. The area along Hwy. 10 and east of <br />Ramsey Blvd. is designated Business Warehouse. <br /> <br />South of Hwy. 10 is Single Family Residential. <br /> <br />Figure 6: Mississippi River Bridge Crossing At/To Puma <br /> <br />The fiver crossing would tie directly into Puma St. NW. Industrial Ave. NW (Co. Rd. 116) is <br />the east-west collector. It also acts as the divider between residential and non-residential land <br />uses. The north side is designated Medium and High Density Residential. Single Family <br />Residential stretches north of these areas. The area along Hwy.-10 from west of Puma to <br />midway between Armstrong and Ramsey Blvds. is designated commercial. An <br />Office/Business Park designation then follows Hwy. 10 to Ramsey Blvd. A Highway <br /> <br /> <br />
