Board Member introduced the following r~solution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~'94-03- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN AU'C~SSORY STRUCTURE <br /> THAT WILL BE CLOSER TO THE FRONT PROPERTY LINE THAN THE <br /> PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Benjamin Deemer, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly <br />applied for a Board of Adjustment variance from Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code to <br />construct an accessory structure that will be located closer to the front property line than the <br />principal structure on the property generally known as 14501 Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. and is <br />legally described as follows: <br /> <br /> All that part of Government Lot 3, Section 26, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka <br /> County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of <br /> said Government Lot 3; thence North 89 degrees, 21 minutes, 13 seconds East <br /> (assumed bearing) along the Southerly line of said Government Lot 3 a distance of <br /> 984.60 feet; thence North and parallel with the West line of said Government Lot 3 <br /> a distance of 524.00 feet to the most Southerly comer of the tract described in Bock <br /> 733 Deeds, Page 295; thence North 50 degrees, 23 minutes, 40 seconds West a <br /> distance of 253 feet, more or less, to the shoreline of Sunfish Lake; thence <br /> Southeasterly, Southerly, Westerly, and Northwesterly along said shoreline of <br /> Sunfish Lake to its intersection with the South line of that part of the North 802.00 <br /> feet of said Government Lot 3 lying Westerly of Sunfish Lake; thence Westerly <br /> along said South line of the North 802.00 feet of Government Lot 3 to its <br /> intersection with the West line of said Government Lot 3; thence South along said <br /> West line to the point of beginning: Excepting therefrom the Town Road described <br /> in Book 60, Page 86; Also except County Road Number 57 as delineated on <br /> ANOKA COUNTY HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY PLAT NO. 1; Also excepting <br /> the parcel described as a 66 foot wide road easement in Book 745, Page 439. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD <br />ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE <br />MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />OF <br />OF <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Board of Adjustment for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on March 17, 1994 and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a pan of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject properD, is zoned R-1 Rural Residential and is approximately seven (7) <br />acres in size; however that confinguous portion of the subject property south of Sunfish <br />Lake Drive N.W. and east of Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. on which the principal structure is <br />located is approximately six (6) acres in size. <br /> <br />That the property to the north, south and east of the subject property is zoned R-1 Rural <br />Residential and the property on the west side of Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W. is zoned <br />Industrial. <br /> <br />That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code prohibits the construction of accessory <br />structures closer to the front property line than the principal structure. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the principal structure on the subject propen5, is located approximately 300 feet from <br />the front property line and the proposed location for the accessory structure is <br />approximately 150 feet from the front property line. <br /> <br /> <br />
