Board Member ~ <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #94-03- <br /> <br />A <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUES~ FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN-'~DDITION TO THE <br /> PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE THAT WILL ENCROACH ON THE <br /> THOROUGHFARE SETBACK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Terry Hendriksen, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly <br />applied for a BOgrd of Adjustment variance from Section 9.20.11 of the Ramsey City Code to <br />construct an addttion to the principal structure that will encroach on the C.S.A.H. #56 (Ramsey <br />Blvd. N.W.) thc~roughfare setback on the property generally known as 15631 Ramsey Blvd. <br />N.W. and is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />That parvof the North Three Quarters of North Half of Northwest Quarter of Northwest <br />Quarter df Section 22, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as <br />follows: Commencing at a point on the West tine of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest <br />Quarter, ~stant 165 feet South of the Northwest comer thereof; thence East and parallel to <br />the North: line of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter, a distance of 659.3 feet; <br />thence S~uth at fight angles a distance of 165 feet; thence East parallel to the North line of <br />said Nort~hwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter, a distance of 659.3 feet, more or less, to the <br />East line Cf said Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter, thence South along said East line <br />a distanc~ of 165 feet, more or less, to the South line of the North Three Quarters of North <br />Half of s~d Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter, thence West along said South line to <br />a point oh the West line of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter, distant 496.38 <br />feet South of the Northwest comer thereof; thence North along said West line to the point <br />of be~nning. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA,: as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Boa.rd of Adjustment for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Secfio~ 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on March 17, 1994 and that said public <br />hearing v/as properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorpora~xl as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the subject property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential and is approximately seven (7) <br />acres in siZe. <br /> <br />That the spbject property is surrounded by R-1 Rural Residential zoning. <br /> <br />That Seciion 9.20.11 of the Ramsey City Code requires a structure setback from <br />thorough ~res of 110 feet from the thoroughfare centerline or 50 feet from the property <br />line, whichever is g-reater. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to construct an addifiofi' to the principal structure that will <br />extend th~ principal structure to within 95 feet of the centerline of C.S.A.FI. #56. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that the Anoka County im¢rovements to C.S.A.H. #56, <br />which included realignment of the roadway and acquisition df additional fight-of-way, have <br />impacted ~e subject property to where a variance is now required for the proposed addition <br />to the principal structure. <br /> <br />-7 <br /> <br /> <br />
