CITY OF RAMSEY POSITION ANALYSIS <br />Position Title: City Administrator <br />Department: Administrative Services <br />Title of Immediate City Council <br />Supervisor: <br />FLSA Status: Exempt <br />General Statement Of uties <br />The City Administrator is the chief administrative administrative officer of the City. This position is <br />responsible for the daily administration and coordination of all City affairs in accordance with the <br />City Charter, Code, ordinances, resolutions, and directives from City Council. <br />Supervision Received: Works under the general guidance of the City Council, <br />Supervision Exercised: Exercises general supervision over all City employees through <br />department heads. <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS <br />The examples listed may not include all duties performed by this position. <br />1. Leadership — lead by example; foster a motivated and cohesive senior management team; <br />encourage openness to change; demonstrate decisive and effective decision - mating, <br />a. Demonstrates collaborative, team- oriented management style. <br />b. Encourages and facilitates strong two-way communication. <br />2. Organizational management — ensure the effective and efficient delivery of quality city <br />services; promote progressive practices; recruit, motivate and retain quality employees. <br />a. Oversees and coordinates the operation of all departments to ensure that citizens receive <br />high quality service. <br />1, Acts as the final authority on all personnel actions subject to approval by the City Council <br />including, but not limited to, hiring, severe disciplinary action and dismissal, <br />c.
