November 10, 2011 I Volume 5 1 No. 21 Zoning Bulletin <br />NEW YORK <br />Four Tompkins County towns at the south end of Cayuga Lake have <br />recently passed zoning amendments "affirming the inappropriateness of <br />natural-gas drilling and support activities as land uses within their bor- <br />ders" (i.e., "anti- fracking" laws). <br />Source: The Ithaca Journal; www.ithacajournal.com <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />New Hanover County's industrial zoning ordinance has been amend- <br />ed to now "require heavy industry to acquire a special -use permit before <br />locating in the region."
