Market Value Homestead Credit (MVHC) calculation and its impact on property taxes. Finance <br />Officer Lund completed the levy and budget presentation and stood for questions. <br />The Council asked staff to place a link to the PBS video on the City's website. The Council <br />indicated its direction to staff was to assure the tax burden to residents remained the same. <br />Finance Officer Lund answered questions of the Council relating to the elimination of homestead <br />credit and indicated that residents with questions on their valuation were referred to the County <br />Assessor. <br />Mayor Ramsey opened the floor for input from the public. There being no response, Mayor <br />Ramsey moved to the next agenda item. <br />2:02 Rail Event Video <br />A video was played of the November 16, 2011, inaugural train stop in Ramsey. City <br />Administrator Ulrich acknowledged the attendance of Anoka County Commissioner Look who <br />played a big part in supporting the Ramsey rail station, which is an economic investment in <br />Ramsey's future development and would return tax increment to residents in the future. <br />3. CITIZEN INPUT <br />Anoka County Commissioner Matt Look thanked all who supported the rail station and event. <br />He provided an update on Anoka County Board activities over the past year. <br />The Council thanked Commissioner Look for his support of Ramsey's initiatives and asked for <br />his assistance with improvements to the Highway 10 corridor and Highway 47. <br />4. CONSENT AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to approve the <br />following items on the Consent Agenda as revise to remove Items 4:05, 4:06, and 4:08. <br />4:01 Receive October 2011 Financial Reports — General Fund and Enterprise Funds <br />4:02 Receive Cash and Investments for Period Ending November 30, 2011 <br />4:02 Approve the following Council Meeting Minutes: <br />1) City Council — Regular — October 11, 2011 <br />2) City Council — Regular — October 25, 2011 <br />3) City Council — Regular — November 7, 2011 <br />4) City Council — Work Session — November 7, 2011 <br />5) City Council — Work Session — November 15, 2011 <br />6) City Council — Regular — November 22, 2011 <br />4:04 Approve Assignments of Councilmembers to Serve on Various Boards /Committees <br />'1:05 Review and Adopt 2011 /Payable 2012 Tax Levy and 2012 General Fund Budget This <br />item was removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as Item 7:07. <br />1 :06 Consider Waiving/Not Waiving Statutory Tort Limits This item was removed from the <br />Consent Agenda and considered as Item 7:06. <br />City Council / December 13, 2011 <br />Page 3 of 15 <br />
