Voting No: Commissioner LaDue. <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to review the City Engineer's report dated May 29, 1990. <br />Commissioner Deemer referred to Item #1 and directed Staff to verify that the shoreland <br />requirements indicated are correct. <br /> <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding drainage plans and any impacts to Hunter's Hill. <br />Wally Anderson indicated that the drainage in Cedar Hills is planned for and will not add to <br />existing problems in Hunter's Hill. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer requested that the City be provided with a copy of the permit issued <br />by the Army Corps of Engineers for work in the flood plain. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to recommend <br />that City Council approve the preliminary plat of Cedar Hills contingent upon: compliance <br />with items contained in the City Engineer's report dated May 29, 1990, with Item #1 being <br />verified for accuracy; the City being provided with a copy of the Corps of Engineers <br />permit; Council consideration of the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation <br />that 144th Lane be constructed as a cul-de-sac; and City Staff determination that area <br />drainage plans for Magnesium Pond and Ramsey Terrace Pond are addressed. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The Commission recessed at 9:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the meeting back to order at 9:23 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #4: Review Priority Of Street Light Installation: <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to review the priority listing for the installation of street lights. <br />The Commission was of the general consensus that if funding is available, the installation <br />of street lights at all areas recommended for same should be accomplished, regardless of <br />priority ranking. <br /> <br />The members of the Commission proceeded to individually indicate on their copies of the <br />priority listing their recommendations for high priority areas requiring street lights. Mr. <br />Banwart was directed to revise the priority listing based on the individual recommendations <br />of the commissioners. <br /> <br />Case #5: Review Fire Break Issue: <br /> <br />Fire Chief Brace Hoeke was present and stated that he and Environmental Specialist Brace <br />Bacon have identified many areas that could use some special attention but the two most <br />critical areas where fire breaks are needed is that area along the Burlington Northern <br />railroad tracks and the F&R property on the north side of Hwy. #10 in the vicinity of Cty. <br />Rd. #83 where damaged trees from a fhe in 1988 are stockpiled. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/June 5, 1990 <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
