Case <br /> <br />Communications from City of Elk River Regarding Joint Planning and <br />Zoning Commission "Plan Share" Conference. <br /> <br />Mrs. Frolik noted that Elk River is hosting a "Plan Share" Conference to which Ramsey <br />Planning and Zoning Commission has been invited. The conference is scheduled for July <br />17, 1990 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Elk River City Hall. Elk River Planning and <br />Zoning Commission Chairman Peter Kimball is requesting input from the Ramsey <br />Planning and Zoning Commission regarding governmental units they are interested in <br />sharing information with and issues that should be discussed. After polling the <br />Commission, it was determined that the governmental units the Ramsey Planning and <br />Zoning Commission would like to share information with are Andover, Bums, Elk River, <br />Zimmerman and Sherburne County. The issues to be discussed should include sign <br />ordinances, specifically billboards; park systems; zoning; training available for Planning <br />and Zoning Commissioners; adult entertainment centers; transportation; recycling; <br />economic development; and Metropolitan Council issues. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Bawden and seconded by Commissioner Deemer granting the <br />members of the Planning and Zoning Commission the permission to meet at the Elk River <br />"Plan Share" Conference. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Bawden, Deemer, <br />Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Hendriksen and LaDue. <br /> <br />Case #11; Ramscy Auto Sales. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer noted that the building that had been temporarily located on the <br />vacant lot between Ramsey Auto Sales and Anoka West Pet Clinic has been removed from <br />the transportation vehicle and set down on the ground. Commissioner Deemer suggested <br />that the Building Official "Red Tag" the building in the event that the owner is preparing to <br />occupy the building for some purpose. Commissioner Deemer also noted that <br />approximately thirty (30) vehicles have been moved onto that same vacant lot and it is <br />currently zoned I-1 Industrial and the sale of used motor vehicles is not a permitted use on <br />an I-1 Industrial lot. <br /> <br />Mrs. Frolik replied that she would follow up on Commissioner Deemer's notations. <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for Preliminary_ Plat Approval of Chestnut Pond Addition; case of <br />Good Value Homes, Inc. <br /> <br />Mrs. Frolik noted that the developer has requested that the preliminary plat of Chestnut <br />Pond Addition be tabled because he did not have all of the required information to submit. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to table <br />preliminary plat review of Chestnut Pond Addition until the Planning and Zoning <br />Commissioner regular meeting in August. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden, <br />Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None.
