Council Update <br />No QCTV Broadcast of Tonight's (02/02) Planning Commission Meeting. Due to a technical <br />issue with QCTV's sound equipment, tonight's Planning Commission Meeting will not be <br />broadcast or recorded by QCTV as originally scheduled. Tonight's meeting will still be held, just <br />without standard recording. We are scheduling a staff member to attend the meeting to take <br />minutes and staff will provide a taped update in the very near future. This information was posted <br />on the City's website. <br />Contractor Selected for Ramsey Northstar Station. Sheehy Construction was selected as the <br />contractor for the Ramsey Northstar Station. They provided the lowest bid out of eight <br />companies and the bid is nearly $600,000 below the estimate. Attached to the Weekly Update is <br />the Press Release titled Anoka County Regional Rail Authority Selects Sheehy Construction for <br />Ramsey Northstar Station. <br />Fiscal Disparities. Information was received from Anoka County detailing Fiscal Disparities — <br />What it is — how it works — what's next — and the Challenges. Attached to the Weekly Update is <br />the information piece from Anoka County regarding Fiscal Disparities. <br />Meeting w/Met Council Rep Ed Reynoso. Staff will be meeting with Metropolitan Council <br />Representative Ed Reynoso at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, in The COR Conference Room <br />at City Hall. Staff will be presenting updates relating to the Armstrong Interchange <br />improvements and funding as well as the Northstar Rail Station Project and fare. Council is asked <br />to please let staff know if you would like to attend this meeting. <br />Reminder: State of the Cities Luncheon. The annual Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce <br />State of the Cities Luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, February 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. <br />at The Harvest Grill at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids (12800 Bunker Prairie Road). (Registration <br />begins at 11:00 a.m.) Jo has sent an invitation request through your email to accept or decline. <br />Cities represented are Andover, Anoka, Champlin, Coon Rapids, Dayton, Nowthen, Ramsey and <br />St. Francis. <br />Reminder: Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Gala Dinner. The 25 Anniversary Silver <br />Gala Dinner Fundraiser will be held Friday, February 24, 2012, at The Courtyards of Andover. <br />The evening begins at 5:30 with social time, followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. The City has agreed <br />to purchase a table. Attached to the Weekly Update is the flyer announcing the <br />Chamber Gala Dinner. <br />Ramsey Rail Station Groundbreaking. March 27, 2012, is the date tentatively set for the <br />Ramsey Rail Station groundbreaking. Details will follow as they become available. <br />
