PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a special meeting on Monday, October <br />22, 1990 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br />Mr. Bradley Thorud <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Consultant David Licht <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. David Bawden <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the special meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission to order <br />at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to approve the agenda as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue and Thom& <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Bawden, Hendriksen and Terry <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case # 1: Review Concerns and. Suggestions of the Economic Development <br /> Commission Over Adult Use Zoning. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the purpose of this meeting is to review proposed changes to the City's <br />zoning ordinance to deal with adult uses in our community and how they are or are not compatible <br />with other nearby uses. <br /> <br />In May of 1990, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council conducted a public <br />hearing at which time the request was made to the community to offer input on what type of <br />secondary impacts adult uses might have on Ramsey. At that time, there was testimony provided <br />and following that testimony and other studies also used to evaluate secondary impacts on Ramsey, <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission / October 22, 1990 <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
