Commissioner Greenberg again expressed our desire for input from the landowners regarding the <br />rezoning proposal but also affirmed the need for compatible land uses. Chairman Wagner restated <br />that the light industrial area needs to be developed as a higher land use area. Commissioner <br />Gorecki asked for a summary of the issues and suggestions covered at this meeting. They are to <br />entitle Subdivision 12 "Open and Outside Storage"; to assure that an option exists for rezoning <br />again; to inquire about the possibility of a road going into Oakridge Industrial Park using City or <br />outside funds; and that it is requested that the property along County Road 116 or abutting <br />residential districts could also be used as commercial/retail. <br /> <br />Mr. Gromberg stated that the Economic Development Commission can make it a recommendation <br />to City Council with regard to future rezoning in order to make them aware of the possibility. <br />Referencing the inclusion of commercial/retail businesses along County Road 116 or abutting <br />residential districts, this can be made a part of this ordinance. <br /> <br />Chairman Wagner concluded that the Economic Development Commission will make their <br />recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Commission and then proceed to schedule a public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Gromberg will arrange a meeting with Jim Kirschner from the City of Anoka. <br /> <br />Chairman Wagner adjourned the special informational meeting of the Economic Development <br />Commission at 8:55 a.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Colleen C.
