The Commission reviewed Merland Otto's letter dated November 29, 1990 regarding <br />final recommendations for park dedication requirements in the Trott Brook Ponds P.U.D. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairman Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Roselle to approve the park <br />dedioation requirements for Trott Brook Ponds outlined in Mr. Otto's letter dated <br />November 29, 1990 and contingent upon Mr. Otto verifying these recommendations with <br />Mr. Bauer <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hetland, Commissioners Rustad, Lokker, Prall, <br />Johnson and Roselle. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #2 <br /> <br />Request for Sketch Plan Review of Cedar Acres Addition: case <br />of Good Value Homes & ARADCO. Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart explained that this sketch plan consists of a number of residential lots and <br />one commercial lot. He informed the Commission that the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission is working on the rezoning of the commercial lot. He also told them that <br />Merland Otto's letter stated that there was no need for a trail or a park in that area and <br />that he recommends accepting cash to satisfy park dedication needs. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Lokker to accept the <br />park dedication requirement recommendation as per the City Landscape Architect's <br />review dated April 2, 1990. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hetland, Commissioners Rustad, Lokker, Prall, <br />Johnson and Roselle. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #5 Consider Playground Eo_uipment for Central Park and River's <br /> Bend Park. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Commission was to table this issue. <br /> <br />Case #6 Update 1990 Park Improvement Projects. <br /> <br />Mark Banwart reviewed the 1990 Parks Improvement Projects with the Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Lokker and seconded by Commissioner Prall to direct City Staff <br />to groom the ballfield infields at Central Park daily and pending information regarding <br />liability insurance, install a handle on the drag equipment. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hetland, Commissioners Rustad, Lokker, Prall, <br />Johnson and Roselle. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #7 Name Sorteberq 6th Park. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairman Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Roselle to direct City Staff to <br />place an article in the Ramsey Resident Newsletter soliciting ideas to name the park in <br />Sorteberg 6th Addition. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Roselle suggested the contest be open to all ages, <br />applicants must be Ramsey residents and that the winner participate in the ribbon <br />cutting ceremony. <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION / APRIL 11, 1990 <br /> PAGE 3 OF 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
