NOTE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Commission members noted the following Planning and Zoning <br />Commission meeting minutes: <br /> <br />1 ) Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes <br /> dated May 1, 1990.. <br /> <br />2 ) Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing and special meeting minutes <br /> dated May 15, 1990. <br /> <br />CQMMI~ION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #6 Recommended a.~pointment to the Park & Recreation <br /> Commission. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed Mr. Jay Swokowski's letter of application and resume. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Commission was to recommend to the City Council appointment of <br />Jay Swokowski to the Park & Recreation Commission to a term expiring on 10-31-92. <br /> <br />Case #1 Request for sketch plan review of Armstronq Addition: case <br /> of Lee Hanson. <br /> <br />Merland Otto reviewed the sketch plan for Armstrong Addition and recommended that the <br />Commission accept land to satisfy park dedication. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Commission was to accept land to satisfy park dedication, the <br />specific area to be determined when the topographical maps are available. <br /> <br />Case #2 Request for sketch plan review of Chestnut Ponds Addition; <br /> ~:ase of Good Value Homes, Inc. <br /> <br />Merland Otto explained that this subdivision was approximately 23 acres and was to be <br />divided into 18 residential lots. He recommended that the Commission accept cash to <br />satisfy park dedication. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Commission was to accept cash to satisfy park dedication as per the <br />City Landscape Architect's review dated May 29, 1990. <br /> <br />Case #4 ~;tetljs report of The North Forty Addition trail corridor. <br /> <br />Merland Otto met with Anoka County to discuss some options available to the City <br />concerning the trail in The North Forty Addition. He asked the Assistant County <br />Engineer, Jori Olson, if it would be possible to use the road right-of-way. Anoka County <br />told him that it would be fine for a bike and pedestrian trail but not for a horse trail. <br />The City would need to make a license application for that segment trail utilizing the <br />County right-of-way.
