Park and Recreation Commission regular meeting minutes dated December 8, 1988.

COMMISSION BUSINESS

Case #1: Municipal State Aid Street System:

Mr. Raatikka stated that each year the City is required to certify its mileage and update its
Municipal State Aid Street (MSAS) system; Ramsey is eligible for an addition one and one
third miles to its MSAS system. Council direction was to focus on extending 153rd in an
east/west direction across the City.

Chairman Zimmerman noted that lhere is extensive development planned east of Hunter's
Hill and perhaps consideration should be given to constructing an MSA route connecting Cty.
Rd. #5 and Sunfish Lake Blvd., south of 147th; at the very minimum, the alignment for that
connection should be determined.

The Commission directed Community Development Director Banwart to schedule a workshop
with City Council to discuss development issues, particularly transportation and MSA routes.
Chairman Zimmerman requested that city staff prepare a survey of needs and safety issues
as they relate to Ramsey's transportation system.

Case #2: Review Sketch Plan For Wildwood Estates:

Mr. Clayton Berg was present requesting sketch plan review of his proposed plat of
Wildwood Estates. The plat consists of 80 acres located in the rural area between
Countryside Estates and Deerwood, to be developed with 24 single family lots.

Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to approve the
sketch plan for Wildwood Estates and recommended that the developer proceed to the
preliminary plat stage, making any adjustments determined to be necessary by the results
of the soil borings and topographies.

Motion carried.
