PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, <br />February 7, 1989 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota regarding Mr. Clayton Berg's request for preliminary plat approval of <br />Wildwood Acres. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Mark Banwart <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:50 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Clayton Berg stated that the plat consists of 80 acres proposed to be developed with 23 <br />single family residential lots at least 2.5 acres each in size; the farmstead will remain in tact <br />as a 7-10 acre parcel. Accesses to the plat will be from County Road #63 on the south and <br />extension of 176th Avenue N.W. from Countryside Estates; there will be no access <br />provided via the Deerwood plat. <br /> <br />Ron Ross - 17540 Gibbon Street N.W. - Inquired as to the boundaries of the plat. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg replied that Wildwood is bounded on the west by Countryside Estates, on the <br />east by Deerwood, on the north by the power lines and on the south by County Road #63. <br /> <br />Jim Wendt - 8506 173rd - Inquired as to lot sizes proposed in Wildwood. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg replied that the minimum lot size is 2.5 acres and the lots which include some <br />wetlands are 4-6 acres in size. <br /> <br />Ron Ross - Inquired if there are plans to fill in some of the wetlands. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg replied that there are no plans to fill in wetlands; that he will not be developing in <br />the bog area; lots will include part of the wetlands but those portions of the lot will be <br /> <br />P&Z Public Hearing/February 7, 1989 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
