PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, March 7, <br />1989, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />regarding Mr. Gerald Bauer's request for preliminary plat approval of Oak Run. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Mark Banwart <br />Mr. Merland Otto/Hakanson Anderson and Associates <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Jim Holm <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Jeff Caine was present representing Mr. Gerald Bauer. Mr. Caine stated that the proposed <br />plat is a 30 acre parcel located at Nowthen Blvd. N.W. and Coquina Street. The plat is <br />proposed to be developed with twelve 2.5 acre single family lots. The streets are <br />constructed but not paved. The developer is requesting a variance to the 2.5 acre minimum <br />lot size for Lots 5 and 6 to be 1.9 acres each. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Frank Villeneuve - 16324 Coquina Street N.W. - Inquired if the development includes <br />paving Coquina Street and if so, who is responsible for the cost of paving. <br /> <br />Jeff Caine replied that Mr. Bauer does not propose to pave Coquina at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart noted that City Code states that no final plat approval will be granted unless <br />the developer complies with the requirement for paved streets.
