City Council public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated February 14, 1989. <br /> <br />NOTE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />1. Park and Recreation Commission regular meeting minutes dated February 9, 1989. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request For Site Plan Approval Of Whispering Pines Outdoor; <br />Case Of Mr. Jon Hanson: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart recalled that on February 7, the Planning and Zoning Commission tabled <br />action on Mr. Hanson's request for site plan approval of Whispering Pines Outdoor and <br />requested that the City Engineer determine whether or not the exterior wall finishes meet <br />City Code requirements. City Engineer report dated February 28, 1989 indicates that the <br />exterior wall f'mish meets City Code. Mr. Banwart also noted that in order to be consistent <br />with surrounding structures, Mr. Hanson is requesting a setback of 35', rather than 50', <br />from Hwy. #10. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the drainage plan for the property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shumway arrived at 9:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissoner Terry to recommend that <br />City Council approve Mr. Jon Hanson's request for site plan approval of Whispering Pines <br />Outdoor with the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. Mr. Jon Hanson providing plans certified by an architect. <br /> <br />b. A 35 foot setback from Hwy. #10 being granted. <br /> <br />Mr. Jon Hanson obtaining a permit from Mn/DOT for drainage towards <br />Hwy. #10. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners LaDue, Hendriksen <br />and Terry. Voting No: None. Abstain: Commissioner Shumway. Absent: <br />Commissioners Holm and Howell. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request For Site Plan Review; Case Of Mr. Clayton Berg: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart recalled that on February 7, the Planing and Zoning Commission tabled action <br />on Mr. Berg's request for site plan approval of a two-story office building until all items in <br />the City Engineer's report of January 31 were complied with. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the City Engineer report dated February 28, 1989. Mr. Berg <br />noted that all engineering items have been satisfied with the exception of the typical parking <br />lot section which will be 4 inches of Class 5 and 2 inches of blacktop. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/March 7, 1989 <br /> Page 4 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
