The Commission proceeded to review the proposed findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Chairman Zimmerman to table Mr. <br />Wojcik's request for a conditional use permit and direct City Staff to inspect the property <br />and determine if Ramsey Auto Sales is complying with the existing conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Otto noted that the applicants are not in compliance with the <br />existing conditional use permit and sited violations. The Commission proceeded to review <br />and amend the proposed findings of fact as follows: <br /> <br />Add an item to indicate that in 1988, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended denial to use the property on which Ramsey Auto Sales is currently <br />located for vehicle sales because of traffic conditions in the area. <br /> <br />Amend Item #11 to indicate that the proposed expansion will increase traffic to and <br />from the subject property. <br /> <br />Amend Item #12 to also indicate that the increased traffic, due to the expansion, will <br />place additional stress on the accesses, which were a major issue of concern in <br />1988. <br /> <br />Add an item indicating that the applicants are proposing to expand the business area <br />size by 1/3 and triple the currently permitted auto inventory. <br /> <br />Add an item indicating that the applicants have encroached onto the Cty. Rd. #56 <br />right-of-way and the proposed expansion area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen and Chairman Zimmerman directed that the motion to table the <br />case stand and that City Staff redraft the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue <br />and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holm and Shumway. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman suggested that Mr. Louis Wojcik provide the Commission with a <br />scale drawing of Ramsey Auto Sales that will indicate buildings, accesses, customer <br />parking and the number of vehicles for display that can be accommodated on the property. <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that Mr. Wojcik should also meet with Mr. Hartman of the <br />Anoka Pet Hospital to resolve issues. <br /> <br />Mr. Wojcik stated that he is also having a drainage study prepared as this is a concern in the <br />subject area. <br /> <br />Case #6.A: Request For Site Plan Approval Of Production Design <br /> Products, Inc.; Case Of Mr. Robert Brown: <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Brown was present proposing to construct 2 expansions to the existing <br />building located at 14161 Basalt Street N.W. <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to review the City Engineer's report dated May 2, 1989. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/May 2, 1989 <br /> Page 8 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
