PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, <br />October 3, 1989 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota regarding Doloras Fleischer's request to rezone the proposed plat of Fleischer's <br />2nd Addition from R-3 Urban Residential and B-1 Business to R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Chairman <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. David Bawden <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br />Mr. Ben Deemer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Mark Banwart <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mr. Roy Shumway <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 8:01 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Janet Bernstrom - 14515 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. - Stated that she would like more <br />information regarding the proposed sewer and water improvements in Fleischer's 2nd <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Mark Banwart stated that the City has received an initial sketch plan for Fleischer's 2nd <br />Addition but the applicant has not yet made formal application for the subdivision at this <br />time. Mr. Baker, representing the property owner, is requesting a rezoning of the property <br />to R-1 Urban Residential; the subject property is within the MUSA area and does have <br />sanitary sewer available to it if the economics are there. <br /> <br />Robert Bernstrom - 14515 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. - Inquired as to the proposed alignment <br />for sewer lines to Fleischer's 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Mark Banwart stated that as part of the platting process, the petitioner requests a feasibility <br />study which includes an investigation of sewer alignments. <br /> <br />Robert Bernstrom inquired if the developer is responsible for the total cost of bringing <br />sewer and water to Fleischer's 2nd Addition, including the extension of trunk lines past <br />properties that do not need or want sewer and water. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing/October 3, 1989 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
