Chairman Zimmerman stated that the Commission is saying that preservation and protection <br />of wetlands can be accomplished either through public or private ownership. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to amend Item <br />#11 of the proposed findings of fact to indicate that at least 20% of the land will be <br />preserved for park and storm water management purposes. <br /> <br />Amendment by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to <br />amend Item #11 to indicate that the land will be preserved for park and open space versus <br />storm water management. <br /> <br />Amendment carded. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, <br />LaDue, Deemer, Bawden, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue, <br />Deemer, Bawden, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to <br />recommend that City Council adopt the proposed findings of fact, as amended, relating to <br />the rezoning of Trott Brook Ponds to a PUD. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue, <br />Deemer, Bawden, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to <br />recommend that City Council approve Mr. Gerald Bauer's request to rezone the proposed <br />plat of Trott Brook Ponds to a PUD. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Hendriksen, LaDue, <br />Deemer, Bawden, Shumway and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer reiterated that he would like the street layout revised to eliminate <br />174th accessing onto Hwy. #47; he would also like the through street to the west redrawn <br />with some curves for speed control purposes. <br /> <br />The Commission recessed at 9:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman called the meeting back to order at 9:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request To Rezone The Proposed Plat Of Carr Addition From <br />R-1 Rural Residential To A Planned Unit Development (PUD); <br />Case Of Irv Carr: <br /> <br />The Commission proceeded to review the proposed findings of fact relating to Irv Carr's <br />request to rezone Carr Addition to a PUD. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to delete <br />Item #9 from the proposed findings of facting indicating that the City is interested in <br />acquiring wetlands on the property for storm water management purposes. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/December 7, 1989 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
