Lieutenant- Fire Department <br /> <br />B. 'Assure records are accurately kept and submitted. <br /> <br /> 1. Review and/or compleles fire incident and other related reports. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />Assist firefighters in technical aspects of work and participates in training. <br /> <br />Keeps self and others under his/her command informed on matters <br />relating to operation of equipment and apparatus. <br />Keep informed on matters relating to the municipal water system and available <br />fire flows within department assignment. <br />Supervise tactical training sessions relating to various Fire Department <br />emergency responses. <br /> <br />Do <br /> <br />Participate in community relations programs. <br /> <br />1. Instruct public on fire prevention measures. <br />2. Assist in development of fire prevention programs. <br /> <br />Report to the Captain on all matters pertaining to the safe, efficient, and economical <br />operation of the Fire Deparlment. <br /> <br />1. Recommends appropriate responses to fire scene and use of related equipment. <br /> <br />POSITION <br /> <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS: <br /> <br />Shall have successfully completed requirements of a firefighter. <br />Possess good verbal and written communications skills. <br />Ability to exercise good judgment. <br />Ability to make decisions, enforce policies, and issue directives even when <br />unpopular. <br />Have the necessary physical agility and strength to perform strenuous tasks <br />under varying climatic conditions. <br />Have the ability to lead firefighters and perform under stressful conditions. <br /> <br />POSITION RELATIONSHIPS: <br /> <br />The position of Lieutenant is under the direct supervision of the Captain within his/her <br />department and assume the duties and responsibilities of the Captain as directed. The Lieutenant <br />is responsible for the enforcement of all rules, regulations, and orders of the department, and <br />for the maintenance of discipline and efficiency of the fire force. <br /> <br /> <br />
