Voting No: None.

Case #11:

Adopt Ordinance Amending Street Definitions And Street
Width Standards Of The Subdivision Chapter Of The City
Code Of Ramsey, Minnesota:

Mr. Banwart recalled that on January 9, 1990, City Council introduced an ordinance to
amend street definitions and width standards, specifically reducing minor street fight-of-
way standards in urban areas from 66 feet to 60 feet and cul-de-sac fight-of-way widths
from 65 feet to 60 feet.

Councilmember Peterson expressed concern with the amended fight-of-way width
standards taking into consideration the possible need for limited on-street parking, ample
space for maintenance operations and the possible future construction of sidewalks.

Mr. Raatikka replied that the amended right-of-way width standards are sufficient for
maintenance and sidewalks.

Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt
Ordinance #90-04 amending Section 170.032 Interpretation And Scope: 21 Streets and
Section 170.038C Streets.

Motion carried. Allowing for
carpeting, Sandra Ashley recommended proceeding with the project at a cost not to exceed
$3500.

Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to approve
Facilities remodeling for the Finance Office in an amount not to exceed three thousand five
hundred dollars ($3,500) with funding to come from the Administrative Trust Fund.

Motion carried.
