Councilmember
Peterson inquired whether or not there is an alternative plan available before approving an
expenditure for a feasibility study.

Joe Kirkeide - 6310 163rd Lane N.W. - Mr. Kirkeide stated that he lives on Lot 3, Block
4, of Menkveld's Country Park. He
reported that 2 children had fallen through some thin ice on this ponding area.

A discussion ensued regarding the options of piping vs. a ditch or a possible compromise
of the two.

Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt
Resolution//00-03-84 directing the City Engineer to prepare a feasibility study to correct
the drainage problem on Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, Menkveld's Country Park.

Motion carried.
