Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO <br />RECLASSIFY TWO PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEES <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends reclassify the current Streets Supervisor position, <br />to Public Works Superintendent. This position will report to the City Administrator and <br />will be responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of Building Maintenance, <br />Utilities, Streets (including traffic engineering) and high level oversight of Parks; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends reclassify the current Parks Supervisor position, <br />to Parks &Assistant Public Works Superintendent. This position will report to the PW <br />Superintendent and serve as a back-up when the PW Superintendent is away. This <br />position will be responsible for the supervision of Parks, as well as PW project <br />management, serving as a community liaison, staying abreast of legislative issues, and <br />seeking any applicable/reasonable funding sources; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends considering any necessary backfilling or other <br />position adjustments in approximately 9 to 18 months. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) To reclassify the Streets Supervisor to Public Works Superintendent. <br />2) To reclassify the Parks Supervisor to Parks Supervisor & Assistant Public Works <br />Superintendent. <br />3) Adjust both employees' current hourly rate to the revised pay scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 12th day of June 2012. <br />
