ORDINANCE #12- <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 10 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ANIMAL REGULATIONS <br />CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 BY AMENDING CHAPTER 10, ARTICLE I, ENTITLED <br />IN GENERAL. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br />City Code Chapter 10, Article I is amended as follows (insertions indicated as underline, deletions indicated as <br />.,.;trikothrough): <br />Sec. 10-1. - Keeping of certain animals, livestock and poultry. <br />(a) Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings <br />ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: <br />Pony means a horse that does not exceed 54 inches or 13.2 hands in height. <br />(b) Prohibited animal sAnimals on less than three (3) acres. None of the following animals shall be maintained on <br />any parcel of land in the city that is not at least 3.0 acres (130,680 square feet) in size: horses, llamas, cows, mules, <br />donkeys, burros, ponies, goats, pigs, sheep, lambs, turkey, geese, chickens, _and ducks. EXCEPTION: Chickens <br />(hens only. no roosters) may be maintained on narcels less than three (3) acres.
