RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL STANDARDS Page 2 11. Every fire fighter and officer shall be held responsible for the safekeeping and proper care of all Department property under their control. 12. When fire clothing, uniform, insignia and/or equipment is lost or damaged due to negligence of a fire fighter or officer, such fire fighter or officer shall reimburse the Fire Department for the replacement cost of the lost or damaged article. 13. All repairs and modifications of the apparatus other than emergency repairs must have the approval of the Chief. 14. No one but fire fighters and officers of the Fire Department and those on probation having the Chiefs permission shall be allowed to ride on the apparatus. 15. Incompetence, neglect of duty, willfully refusing to cooperate with other fire fighters or officers or disobedience when given an order by a superior officer while on a call or drill shall be cause for disciplinary action. 1 6. All training bulletins are to be followed by all officers and fire fighters. 17. All personnel, officers and fire fighters are required to adhere to all policies and directives as issued from time to time by the Fire Chief. 18. To receive credit for attending any fire call, meeting or drill, the following must be complied with: a. Fire or emergency call 1. Respond to fire station or scene. b. Meetings or drills 1. You must remain for the entire session (unless excused). Tardiness, unless excused by the officer in charge, will not be allowed. You will not receive credit for that particular meeting or drill. 19. All fire fighters and officers must attend a minimum of fifty percent (50%) of all fire calls during their assigned shift. Aisc, fire fighters and officers must attend a minimum of two-thirds (2/3) of drills and meetings. 20. When an officer or fire fighter receives an order which is in conflict with a previous order, he/she shall so inform the officer who issued the conflicting order. The last order takes precedence.
