RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />PERSONNEL STANDARDS <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Every fire fighter and officer shall be held responsible for the safekeeping and proper <br />care of all Department property under their control. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />When fire clothing, uniform, insignia and/or equipment is lost or damaged due to <br />negligence of a fire fighter or officer, such fire fighter or officer shall reimburse the <br />Fire Department for the replacement cost of the lost or damaged article. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />All repairs and modifications of the apparatus other than emergency repairs must have <br />the approval of the Chief. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />No one but fire fighters and officers of the Fire Department and those on probation <br />having the Chiefs permission shall be allowed to ride on the apparatus. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />Incompetence, neglect of duty, willfully refusing to cooperate with other fire fighters or <br />officers or disobedience when given an order by a superior officer while on a call or <br />drill shall be cause for disciplinary action. <br /> <br />1 6. All training bulletins are to be followed by all officers and fire fighters. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />All personnel, officers and fire fighters are required to adhere to all policies and <br />directives as issued from time to time by the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />To receive credit for attending any fire call, meeting or drill, the following must be <br />complied with: <br /> <br />a. Fire or emergency call <br /> <br />1. Respond to fire station or scene. <br /> <br />b. Meetings or drills <br /> <br />1. You must remain for the entire session (unless excused). <br /> <br />Tardiness, unless excused by the officer in charge, will not be allowed. <br />You will not receive credit for that particular meeting or drill. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />All fire fighters and officers must attend a minimum of fifty percent (50%) of all fire <br />calls during their assigned shift. Aisc, fire fighters and officers must attend a minimum <br />of two-thirds (2/3) of drills and meetings. <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />When an officer or fire fighter receives an order which is in conflict with a previous <br />order, he/she shall so inform the officer who issued the conflicting order. The last <br />order takes precedence. <br /> <br /> <br />
