RAMSE¥ FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> PERSONNEL STANDARDS <br /> <br />General Rules and Reautat:.3ns <br /> <br />All personnel of the Fire Department shall be subject to the following rules and regulations. <br />Any individual in violation of these rules and regulations shall be subject to disciplinary action. <br /> <br />No fire fighter or officer shall indulge in or be under the influence of intoxicating <br />liquors or drugs while on duty or in uniform, nor shall a fire fighter or officer bring or <br />have brought into any station or any Department premises any intoxicating liquors or <br />drugs without the express permission of the Chief. No fire fighter or officer shall ride <br />on or drive apparatus or equipment or attend any fire or emergency, meeting or drill <br />while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. <br /> <br />Fire fighters and officers shall not speak disrespectfully of or to their superior officers <br />or fellow members either at any station, training session or on duty at a fire and/or <br />emergency. <br /> <br />Each fire fighter or officer shall be held accountable for any disorderly or unlawful <br />conduct on his part while on duty and/or representing or using the Department name. <br /> <br />No fire fighter or officer shall make a false statement affecting the Department or any of <br />its fire fighters or officers with the intention of deceiving; nor shall any fire fighter or <br />officer adversely criticize the Department or the administration thereof publicly. <br /> <br />Ail fire fighters and officers shall see that their own n. ame is on the fire report to <br />receive credit for each fire he/she responds to. <br /> <br />The officer in charge of the fire shall fill out or cause to be filled out fire reports after <br />each fire; reports are to be filled out completely and to the best of their knowledge. <br /> <br />7. The driver of each vehicle shall see that that check list is completed. <br /> <br />8. The ranking officer on the fire scene will be in charge. <br /> <br />If no officer is present, it should be the first duty of those members responding <br />to determine who is in charge until an officer arrives. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />All fire fighters and officers answering fire calls must return to the fire station <br />and see to it that equipment is back in service for the next response. Wait for the <br />officer in charge to release you from duty. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />No fire fighter or officer shall make or cause to be made false entries in any Department <br />records, reports or communications with the intent to deceive or defraud. <br /> <br />10. Request for information concerning fires shall be referred to the Chief or his designee. <br /> <br /> <br />
